As a material image of physiology, sound becomes another kind of external perception that feeds back to the conscious subject. In the city of Chengdu and its surrounding public environment, the site of sound is not only a phenomenon of individual creation, but also a real life pattern based on the presence of the body.
In the third session, we started the conversation with a semi-improvisational approach by initiating two short behavioral scenes.
Li Kun invited the composer Mao Zhu to join him, and through sound, the duo’s live behavioral interactions were used as immediate feedback for sound writing and placed in the time of action and the program of sound memory.
Li Kun used a microphone and a plastic bag to experiment with the wind movement of a hand-held fan, repeatedly observing and resting the sonic shape of the sound in space and its departure from its original form.
It is centered around the following 3 questions
1、 How does sound as a mode of behavior in the Southwest region unfold in their respective creations and practices?
2、 How is the technical treatment of sound memory related to the history of the society?
3、 How does the body, as a medium of sound communication, exercise its judgment in their respective experiments?
