The archive’s “Special Project ” is the archive’s hope to participate more flexibly in various cultural activities as an organization, so that the archive’s energy can be released with more space and possibilities. So far, it has participated in the “2022 and 2023 Art Book Exhibition” of A4 Art Museum, and the exhibition “Going to the Stall” of Art Cube. Archives has participated in live interactive projects, namely “Talking about a Book”, “Love and Hate” and “UP-ON Up Co-op”.
The common feature of these programs is that they are designed to formulate rules based on the characteristics of the activities in which they are involved, to guide the public to participate in the interactions, and to create ongoing events at the site of the activity. Based on this principle, the Archives participated in the “Back to Life” program with the “Let’s See the View” project. “Return to Life” was held in a living community, and the archive’s venue was on the second floor of a building, with five organizations crammed into a small room: Minimal Art Center, Kinyue Art Museum, A4 Art Museum, AiYouYi Theatre, and UP-ON Upward Bound Archives. Obviously, there was a need for quiet, and no big commotion that would affect the other organizations. We noticed a large window in the room with a very lived-in neighborhood scene outside. There were large trees, old residential buildings, and a cat lay staring over the courtyard wall.OK, let’s look at the view together! A large table was placed in front of the window, with two wooden chairs placed side by side on the table. For two afternoons, anyone who is interested can sit on the chairs to enjoy the scenery outside the window: when the mind is quiet, you will be surprised to find that the usual everyday scenes are so wonderful! The following text is a journal written by Dong Jie, the person in charge of this project.
