Night School |Special project “Chatting into a Book ”

Will three days, nine hours a day, of constant conversation about performance art make you throw up? Or will it be a conversation? Three days, 12 hours a day, designing and binding a book, will it be a disaster? Or will there be surprises? We want to create a strong collaborative relationship between the organization, the artists, the designers and the audience. By creating chance encounters at the book fair site, we will continue to engage in impromptu conversation around a topic for 27 hours, and then convert the conversation into a text full of typos, and design and bind it into a book without proofreading.

Project Overview: Three days of the book fair (July 8-10), 11:00pm~20:00pm every day. The book exhibition booth at UP-ON Upward Performance Art Archive on the first floor of A4 Art Museum. The stall owner (Zhou Bin), along with a total of three reserved guests and random audience members, will engage in an impromptu conversation around the topic of performance art. Guests will chat for 3 hours, while the audience is free to come and go.

During the three days of the book fair (July 8-10), the chats will be recorded on site, and at the end of the fair on the same day, the recordings will be sent to a designer for framing into a book.
